As our community recovers from the effects of the pandemic, The Library is helping individual residents get back on their feet and on the “Road to Recovery.” It’s all part of The Library’s return to normal. Local and The Library’s resources that offer assistance that connects community members with pandemic recovery resources are listed below.

Dauphin County Emergency Rental Assistance Program
You May be Eligible for Dauphin County Emergency Rent and Utility Assistance
The County of Dauphin has received funds to help its residents with rental and utility arrears and payments. These documents serve to provide information about the program and instructions on how to fill out the application. Printable application forms are below and library staff has been trained to help our community members to fill out both the online form and the printable form.

FCC Emergency Broadband Benefit
The Federal Communications Commission has launched a temporary program to help families and households struggling to afford Internet service during the COVID-19 pandemic. The Emergency Broadband Benefit provides a discount of up to $50 per month toward broadband service for eligible households and up to $75 per month for households on qualifying Tribal lands. Eligible households can also receive a one-time discount of up to $100 to purchase a laptop, desktop computer, or tablet from participating providers.
Eligible households can enroll through a participating broadband provider or directly with the Universal Service Administrative Company (USAC) using an online or mail in application.

Capital Region Water Credit Assistance Program
The Credit Assistance provides up to a $200 credit to residential customers that meet the qualifying income guidelines (listed below). Customers qualifying for similar assistance programs may also qualify for this program. Each credit granted will provide an eligible recipient a credit of $100 for use toward the customer’s drinking water utilization charge and $100 for use toward the customer’s wastewater utilization charge, if billed jointly by Capital Region Water. The credit will appear on the customer’s bill as a one-time adjustment. Current eligibility documentation is necessary to receive annual credit assistance.

Looking for quick pick-up of books and other materials? Let us bring them to your car.
Curbside Pickup* is available – all materials that are placed on hold through our catalog or Book Advisor can be picked up.
*Curbside Pickup is not available at McCormick Riverfront Library or Johnson Memorial Library.
Know someone without computer access? They may call any of our local libraries to reserve their books for Curbside Pickup.
Books you had on hold before we closed can be delivered to one of our open libraries. Call your local library for help with changing the delivery location
Please return all borrowed items to a book drop. Staff cannot accept items handed to them at curbside.
